A new concept of fashion that comes from far away, but it is created “for humans”.
Thanks to this alien coming from our neighbour galaxy we can now be sure about our endless insecurity in choosing outfits.
It’s not about what’s trending anymore but if that suit or accessory matches our personality.
The brand is based on a fresh and new kind of approach to the infinite power of numbers and colours which applies to consumers through numerology.
1.4.1.3 is the epitome of freshness: it is a compound of contrasting feelings which result in a profound astonishment.
What’s even more interesting about this new brand is anonymity: “Who is Spiral Man?”.
Downtown fashion had the opportunity to interview the UAL graduate and listen to what human kind should wear.
The designer wanted to remain anonymous.
“the idea came thanks to my partner’s mother who is a numerologist,” said Spiral Man,
emergent designer and co-founder of 1.4.1.3.
“Spiral Man is my alter ego because he comes from far away like me,” says the creator.
Just looking on Spiral Man Instagram page it’s possible to see the latest collection.
Every colour matches a number: each piece is sewed to empower humans and help them survive daily problems.
In fact, Spiral Man's creations look like a "paint by number" kit, an increasing and decreasing order of numbers that complete a brilliant canvas.
The brand is also environmentally friendly because utilizes end of roll fabrics and reuses all their fabric waste.
A new idea that could change the order of things in the industry today, mainly dominated by high end fashion.
“The collection has a childish side because I want people to be playful,” says the designer.
Seriousness is not admitted, “humans are too serious,” says Spiral Man and that’s his challenge on planet Earth.
One of the most peculiar pieces are the teddy-bear shaped backpacks. a childhood memory converted in technical textile; an evident example of recalculated fashion boundaries.
